These areas are the perfect spots for informal study, independent study, and group study:
Need to connect to the internet? There are 8 computers located in the computer commons area, and 27 computers are located in the Sun Porch. You are able to print from the computers to the black & white or color self-service printers. Using these computers requires your SU login.
We have a variety of private study rooms for individuals and groups. All study rooms have whiteboards, tables, and ample power supply. The rooms are located throughout the main library and on the Sun Porch. All study rooms are first-come, first-served.
The library has study carrels located in a quiet, tucked-away space. These carrels are a great option if you are looking to get away from distractions and study independently. Each carrel includes a built-in power outlet and study lamp to help you focus on your work. Carrels can be found on the right side of the library near the periodicals.
The Grand Hall is home to the children's, young adult, and reference sections of the library. The area has 2 well-lit tables that seat up to 4 people, and a lounge area with comfortable chairs and couches.
Take a break from your studies in the Zen Zone! Located behind the periodicals, the Zen Zone features two L-shaped couches that offer a comfortable place to sit and relax. This area in the library is a perfect location to read a novel, quietly spend time with friends, or complete a puzzle.
The presentation room is an ideal location to practice public speaking, meet for projects, or reserve for student organization meetings. This room is equipped with two large circular tables, two whiteboards, and a television that can connect to your laptop. When this room is not reserved, the space is part of our first-come, first-served study room policy.
There are many more places to study around the library. You can find comfy couches, chairs and other spots tucked away all over the library.
