Presentation & Workshop: The Book of Hours — Prayer and Prestige in the Medieval World

Friday, November 14 | 1:30–3:00 p.m.
RSVP required | Limited to 25 participants

Step into the illuminated world of the Book of Hours—the medieval prayer book that was both a symbol of devotion and a display of status.

Join exhibit curator Sarah Sides for a brief presentation on the artistry and cultural importance of these treasured manuscripts, followed by a viewing of select illuminated leaves from the university archives. Then, enjoy a hands-on creative session, “Make Your Own Mini Book of Hours Bookmark,” where you’ll design your own page inspired by medieval craftsmanship.

Light refreshments will be served, and guests are invited to explore the exhibit after the workshop.
