Checking Out Library Items
Schreiner students, staff and faculty as well as all persons registered in our system as community patrons (the library currently does not issue a library card) may check out books and other items according to the rules stated on the Borrower Policies form. This form is also on display near the entrance to the library building.
Borrowers must bring all items for checkout to the front desk at least 15 minutes before closing (Library Hours). This desk is also called the Circulation/Reserve Desk as it serves multiple purposes. The desk is staffed all of the hours the library is open. Inquires may be made by calling (830) 792-7312.
Borrowers must present their Schreiner ID card or their Texas Driver's License (as is the case for community patrons) to check out library items. Due dates are marked on the items and all items are to be returned to the library before this date passes to avoid fines.
Items returned to the Library during open hours may be checked in immediately at the front desk or deposited in the inside book drop. An outdoor book drop is available near the building entrance for returns when the building is closed.
