Finding Newspapers, Journals and Magazines
Where are the newspapers? top

Newspapers are stored for a short time at the Circulation/Reserve Desk. Retention periods vary. Consult the library catalog for the exact holdings of a newspaper title. Patrons may borrow the newspers from the front desk and request older issues be retrieved from storage. Ask for assistance at the Reference Desk.



Where are the journals and magazines? top  

Depending on factors such as age, format, and subscription status, journals and magazines may be found in different areas of the Library:

  • Current and Back Periodicals - the shelves near the south windows in the main library and the forst two rows of shelves on the left side of the main library stacks
  • Newspapers - kept at the Circulation/Reserve Desk. Retention periods vary.
  • Microfiche and Microfilm - in the metal cabinets located near the copiers
  • Storage - very old issues of some titles are kept in the basement. Ask for assistance to see these.
